A Tokyo Publisher Under a French Name
Éditions Treville is a Japanese publishing company based in Tokyo. Despite its French name, it operates entirely out of Japan and has no affiliation with France. The imprint continues the work of its forerunner, Treville (1985–1998), carrying forward a publishing vision centred on exotic, imaginative, and aesthetic content — books conceived as inspiration for readers and creators worldwide.
The catalogue spans photography, graphic design, art monographs, architecture, fashion, and literature. All titles are developed with attention to both editorial concept and visual design, resulting in publications that resist easy categorisation.
Six Labels
Éditions Treville organises its output across six distinct labels:
- é.t. Style — Visual books on contemporary architectural interiors and lifestyle design.
- é.t. Art Books — Monographs by photographers, artists, and designers. These titles sit within the broader territory of Art & Illustration Books available at Lokator100.
- é.t. Pan-Exotica — Monographs by artists working in deep, exotic, and fantastic registers.
- é.t. Insolite — Fashion and pop culture publications developed under the theme of Celebration of Femininity.
- é.t. Écrit — Non-visual works: literature, essays, and critical writing.
- é.t. Classics — Reprints of earlier titles from the Treville lineage.
A seventh category, é.t. Products, covers original non-book objects derived from the label programme.
