Stephen Shore – Photobooks, Monographs, and Artist Publications
Stephen Shore (born 1947) is among the central figures in the history of color photography and the photobook as a documentary form. His sustained attention to the American landscape and everyday life — developed across cross-country road trips in the 1970s — produced two bodies of work that remain reference points for the medium: American Surfaces and Uncommon Places. Shore's participation in the 1975–1976 exhibition New Topographics: Photographs of a Man-Altered Landscape at the George Eastman House placed his practice within a broader critical shift in how photography addressed the built and natural environment.
This collection at Lokator100 brings together Stephen Shore photobooks, monographs, and artist publications selected for their bibliographic relevance and condition.
