Berlin-based photographer Matthias Heiderich captures the monumental structures of places like Nuovo Corviale and Rozzol Melara in vibrant color and architectural precision, highlighting how human life reclaims concrete through adaptation and improvisation.

The book is accompanied by a minimalist, atmospheric soundtrack by composer and drummer Andrea Belfi, released as a standalone album on Bandcamp.

Published as part of the IIKKI series – a dialogue between sound and image – Alveare is a limited edition of 500 hand-numbered copies, never to be reprinted.
