Cursed Swords: The Art of Strange House — Regular Hardcover Edition
Cursed Swords collects 136 color illustrations by Strange House (Joonas Ryynänen), published by The Mansion Press as a clothbound hardcover with a hot-stamped metallic blood cover detail. The format is 17 × 24 cm, printed on Munken 150 g stock. This listing is the Regular Hardcover Edition.
About the Work
The book is structured as a sustained visual sequence rather than a narrative or thematic survey. Armored figures, creatures, emblems, and interior scenes follow one another in a rhythm determined by visual weight and density rather than by explanation or caption. The compositions are heavily worked: layered textures, dense linework, and a consistent tonal register drawn from black-metal and gothic illustration traditions.
There is no significant body of text. The book functions as an image object — the illustration sequence is the content. The plates are reproduced at a scale and paper weight that preserve the detail of the original work. Further Artbooks of comparable character are available through Lokator100.
Regular Edition vs. Deluxe Slipcase Edition
This is the standalone clothbound hardcover. A separate collector format — the Cursed Swords - Deluxe Slipcase Edition — is also available and differs in its packaging and presentation. Buyers comparing formats should consult both product pages before ordering.
