About the Book
For a Fleeting Moment is the first book by Swiss photographer Simone Kappeler, devoted exclusively to her Polaroid works created between 2011 and 2023. The photographs – sometimes delicate and dreamlike, sometimes strange and distant – were shot using various types of cameras and films, including infrared, disposable, and instant formats.
The book was created as part of a collaboration with Japanese musician Tomotsugu Nakamura, whose minimalist soundscapes are composed of acoustic fragments, electronics, and field recordings. A download code for his music on Bandcamp is included with each copy.
Published by French label IIKKI, this hardcover book is a one-time edition of 700 hand-numbered and hand-stamped copies. No reprints.
