About the Book
The volume is structured as an illustration archive rather than a narrative sequence. Pages accumulate standalone images and dense, layered compositions drawn from across Kago's practice — work that engages body transformation, social taboos, and the mechanics of visual media. The format resists genre reduction: the book sits within the ero guro tradition but functions primarily as a collected record of graphic output. No editorial text interrupts the image sequence. The second edition reissues this material in the same physical format as the first, with the same cover specification.
Vol. 2 belongs to a three-volume series. The companion volumes — Shintaro Kago: Artbook vol.1 and Shintaro Kago: Artbook vol.3 — are also available, as is the Shintaro Kago Artbook Vol. 3 - Collector's Edition with slipcase. The full series is listed in the Artbooks & Artist Publications catalogue.
