Originally drawn in A3 and printed as a hardcover, this softcover pocket version (17 x 24 cm) keeps all 84 pages of grotesque brilliance: splatter, absurd sex, complex panel architecture, historical mutations, and obsessive handmade backgrounds. Unlike most of his short story collections, this edition presents one long surrealistic journey through the infamous Never-ending Castle universe. Printed on 120g Fedrigoni Arena Natural Bulk paper with UV spot gloss cover, and limited to 750 English copies, this is a must-have for underground manga collectors.

About Shintaro Kago

Shintaro Kago (b. 1969, Tokyo) is a Japanese manga artist known for his experimental and grotesque style, often labeled as ero guro (erotic-grotesque). He is celebrated for his visual deconstructions of manga form, absurd satire, surreal bodily horror, and obsession with panel manipulation. Kago’s work has gained cult status internationally and has been published by Hollow Press, Le Dernier Cri, and Starfruit Books.
