"Tokyo Girls" is the debut photobook by British photographer Emily Ashcroft, documenting her encounters with six young women in Tokyo between 2015 and 2017. Shot during strolls through Tokyo’s vibrant neighborhoods, the series combines candid moments and vivid colors to reveal the unfiltered beauty of youth on the threshold of adulthood. With 64 pages of striking photographs, this softcover book offers an intimate glimpse into contemporary Japanese culture and the personal stories of its subjects.

Emily Ashcroft is a British photographer based between Europe and Japan. Her work explores themes of youth, identity, and culture through editorial and personal projects. Published in DEW, Brutus, TMRW, Hypebea, Hunger, Bourgeois, Nylon Japan, and more, Ashcroft has also collaborated with brands such as Pepsi, Nasty Gal, and Bumble. Tokyo Girls (2019) was her debut book, followed by exhibitions including Planet Tokyo (2025).
