About the Author
Emily Ashcroft is a British photographer based between Europe and Japan. Her work explores themes of youth, identity, and culture through editorial and personal projects. Published in DEW, Brutus, TMRW, Hypebea, Hunger, Bourgeois, Nylon Japan, and more, Ashcroft has also collaborated with brands such as Pepsi, Nasty Gal, and Bumble. Tokyo Girls (2019) was her debut book, followed by exhibitions including Planet Tokyo (2025).
