About Voodoo Forest

Voodoo Forest gathers roughly ten years of John Blanche’s work into a final, edited sequence. The selection feels private rather than encyclopedic. Images follow their own internal weather: ritual, pressure, humour, dread. The tone stays controlled and unsentimental.

The complete content was previously presented as the exhibition “Within the woods” at Lucca Comics & Games 2022 (curated by Tiziano Antognozzi). In book form, the work slows down. Repetition becomes structure. Each page acts like a fixed frame, keeping the drawings intact as documents.

Hollow Press issued this second printing (July 2023) as a limited edition of 2,000 copies. Production choices are explicit: A4 format, 96 pages, offset black-and-white printing, stitched binding, and a canvas hard cover with black hot-foil. The book is printed on Fedrigoni Ivory Smooth 160g, chosen for clean tonal range and sharp linework.

About John Blanche

John Blanche is known for dense, baroque fantasy illustration where figures, relics, and architecture merge into one anxious surface. His imagery helped shape the look of modern dark fantasy and tabletop art. In Voodoo Forest, the emphasis shifts from world-building to a sustained internal sequence. For collectors, this John Blanche art book is both a reading object and a well-specified print artifact.

Packaging & Shipping

We pack books to arrive in the condition described: protected corners, rigid backing, paper cushioning, and a sturdy outer package. Heavier or collectible editions receive an extra layer of protection. Any defects are documented on the product page—packing doesn’t hide condition, it reduces transit risk.

We ship from Germany, usually on the next business day after payment. Germany: typically 2–5 business days, EU: often 3–7 business days; international depends on destination and customs. Tracking is included for all services and is provided once the parcel is handed over to the carrier. During peak periods, transit times may extend. See the Shipping Policy.

Returns

Returns are possible within 30 days of delivery (e.g., if the item doesn’t match the description or you changed your mind). Please contact us before sending anything back—we’ll provide the return address and the best return option. Items should be returned in the same condition as received. Once the return is received and checked, we refund to the original payment method. See the Refund Policy.
