About the Book
KSKHH is a deeply personal and surreal work by Japanese outsider artist Daisuke Ichiba. Originally self-published in the 2000s, this third English-language edition is limited to just 200 copies. The book unfolds a fragmented, dreamlike narrative about a mother's farewell and the inner world of her child. Ichiba’s intricate black-and-white illustrations, printed in a softcover with a UV-inked dust jacket, portray disturbing yet tender visions that oscillate between the grotesque and the sacred. Published by Hollow Press in July 2024, this 100-page A5-format volume exemplifies Ichiba’s ability to fuse poetic introspection with visceral body horror. A collector’s gem for fans of avant-garde comics, Japanese counterculture, and dark surrealism.
