About the Artist
Shintaro Kago (b. 1969, Tokyo) is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator internationally recognized for his work in the ero guro tradition. Active since the 1990s, his practice engages themes of body transformation, social taboos, and media deconstruction. His graphic work has appeared in galleries, magazines, and publications associated with avant-garde comics, including titles from Hollow Press.
