Tetsupendium Tawarapedia is a dense “best of 2002–2012” compilation: 400 pages of Tetsunori Tawaraya’s mutant comic language, assembled as a single, portable archive. The book reads like a catalog of transformations—fast, compressed, and deliberately excessive, yet controlled by page rhythm and repetition.
This is the eighth printing (July 2024), published by Hollow Press and limited to 500 copies. The format is A5, printed on 100g paper, with a full-color softcover and a dust jacket with strips. The binding is stitched paperback, built for handling rather than display-only collecting.
On the back, Mat Brinkman leaves a simple verdict: “Good luck finding better mutant nightmare comics.”
Tetsunori Tawaraya’s work operates through accumulation: micro-events, hybrid bodies, and mechanical organisms that multiply across the page. Instead of neat narratives, the images behave like systems—looping, mutating, and building density until the page becomes an environment. In Tetsupendium Tawarapedia, that approach is presented as a decade-long field study: one artist’s visual vocabulary, preserved at scale.
