Pawel Jaszczuk (b. 1978, Warsaw, Poland) studied graphic design in Australia before relocating to Tokyo, where he spent over a decade documenting urban life, nightlife, and subcultures with a precise and often sardonic eye. His work sits at the intersection of observational photography and social critique — attentive to behavior, atmosphere, and the particular absurdities of contemporary Japan.

Key projects include Salaryman, a close study of Tokyo's office workers; High Fashion, which turns the conventions of fashion photography against themselves; and Kinky City, an unflinching look at Tokyo's nightlife margins.
