Langt Fra Jorden (Lejos de la Tierra) — øjeRum
Langt Fra Jorden — Danish for Lejos de la Tierra, or "Far from the Earth" — is a record by Copenhagen-based musician and collage artist Paw Grabowski, working under his alias øjeRum. The album was created as part of a collaborative project with Spanish photographer Irene Zottola and published by French art imprint IIKKI.
Grabowski plucks and strums treated acoustic instruments that shift between registers: at times resembling church bells, at times an angelic harp, at times sustained drones. The result is minimal, textural, and deeply personal ambient music — suspended in stillness, attentive to memory, longing, and silence.
Since 2014, øjeRum has built a substantial body of work across labels including eilean rec., Room40, Line, and Opal Tapes. Langt Fra Jorden continues that practice without concession.
This vinyl was pressed as a limited edition of 250 hand-numbered copies — the first and only pressing, with no repress planned. The 12" gold vinyl is cut from lacquer and mastered by Taylor Deupree. Physical production includes gold pantone artwork on a matte outer sleeve printed on 300g cardboard, with a black inner sleeve.
The release exists in dialogue with Irene Zottola's companion photobook Lejos De La Tierra, which was produced in parallel. Both objects are also available together as the Irene Zottola & øjeRum – Lejos De La Tierra (Langt Fra Jorden): book + vinyl bundle.
