About the Work

Shintaro Kago works within the ero-guro tradition while pushing manga's formal limits — treating the panel grid as an active structural device rather than a neutral container. Repetition, bodily transformation, and layout mechanics are not incidental to his work; they are its method. In the Parasitic City series, these approaches extend into serialized world-building. Issue #0.3 applies the same logic in compressed form: brief, full color, and self-contained within a larger arc.

Parasitic City #0.3 is the third in a set of short preliminary issues preceding the main numbered volumes. The series as a whole spans both the preliminary booklets and the longer 160-page chapters.
