About the Book
Parasitic City #2 is the second volume in Shintaro Kago’s longest manga series to date. Set in a futuristic world where reincarnations can be purchased—provided you’ve earned enough Haramitsu points—this story imagines a society where moral behavior is tracked by internal parasites.
Blending grotesque humor with intricate worldbuilding, Kago references both Western philosophy (from Kant to Moebius) and Eastern spiritual systems. A surreal, complex narrative wrapped in his signature Ero-Guro aesthetic.
