About the Book

Parasitic City #3 is the 2025 chapter of Shintaro Kago’s serialized dystopia for Hollow Press. The series runs on a single premise treated as an administrative system: sins are regulated through parasites, and future reincarnations can be bought—if enough Haramitsu points have been accumulated. The logic stays visible, like a ledger that has become a world.

In Parasitic City #3, Kago’s approach remains exacting. Panel architecture is controlled, yet the surface is unstable: grotesque humour, abrupt violence, and conceptual detours arrive without warning. References to comics and Western philosophy (from Moebius to Kant) sit alongside Eastern doctrinal signals, used as material rather than explanation. The book keeps its pace by refusing comfort.

This is the English Edition, first printing, limited to 1,000 copies. It is produced as a 160-page volume in large A4 format, with stitched binding and black-and-white offset print. Editorial and design credits include Michele Nitri (editor), Nicola “Nic” Alessandrini and Marco Cirillo Pedri (graphic design), plus English translation by Iain Halliday.

About the Author

Shintaro Kago is a Japanese manga artist associated with ero-guro and formal experimentation. His work often treats narrative as a mechanism: bodies become systems, and the panel grid becomes a visible device that can enforce order or collapse it. Across the Parasitic City series, Kago extends these methods into sustained world-building, where ethics, desire, and control are drawn as procedures rather than themes.

Packaging & Shipping

We pack books to arrive in the condition described: protected corners, rigid backing, paper cushioning, and a sturdy outer package. Heavier or collectible editions receive an extra layer of protection. Any defects are documented on the product page—packing doesn’t hide condition, it reduces transit risk.

We ship from Germany, usually on the next business day after payment. Germany: typically 2–5 business days, EU: often 3–7 business days; international depends on destination and customs. Tracking is included for all services and is provided once the parcel is handed over to the carrier. During peak periods, transit times may extend. See the Shipping Policy.

Returns

Returns are possible within 30 days of delivery (e.g., if the item doesn’t match the description or you changed your mind). Please contact us before sending anything back—we’ll provide the return address and the best return option. Items should be returned in the same condition as received. Once the return is received and checked, we refund to the original payment method. See the Refund Policy.
