Beksiński: The Collected Works II ver. 1.2 — Paintings, Sculptures & Reliefs
The second volume in Zdzisław Beksiński's Collected Works series, published under the Pan-Exotica imprint by Éditions Treville, gathers paintings from the 1980s and 1990s, late-period paintings, and sculptures and reliefs from the 1960s into a single A4 softcover. This is the 2025 newly designed edition — the first printing of a revised layout — expanding the page count from 124 (the 2020 predecessor) to 128 pages.
The visual contents span Beksiński's most sustained period of output: the densely worked canvases of the 1980s and 1990s, the quieter late paintings, and the three-dimensional work of the 1960s — reliefs and sculptures that preceded the paintings for which he became widely known. Text contributions are bilingual (Japanese and English) and include writings by Beksiński himself alongside essays and interviews by Piotr Dmochowski, Anna Kania-Saj, Atsushi Tanigawa, and Hiroshi Fujita. Translations are credited to Don Kenny, Hajime Fukuda, Brian Amstutz of Amstutz Communications, and Rie Hiraiwa of Atelier Poland. Book design is by chutte; editing by Kenichi Kawai.
