About the Book

Parasitic City #1 opens Shintaro Kago’s long-form dystopian series for Hollow Press. In this world, “sins” are administered through parasites, and the quality of future lives can be purchased—if you have enough Haramitsu points. The premise is handled as a system rather than a metaphor, with rules that stay visible on the page.

Parasitic City #1 is built for duration. Kago’s panel construction is tight and mechanical, but the surface remains unstable: grotesque comedy, abrupt violence, and conceptual detours sit inside a carefully engineered narrative machine. References to comics and Western philosophy are present, but the book doesn’t lecture. It uses those signals as texture, then keeps moving.

This is the English Edition, limited to 1,000 copies. The book is printed in black-and-white offset and bound with stitched binding in a large A4 format, with 160 pages. Credits include editor Michele Nitri, design by Marco Cirillo Pedri & Christian Dolz Bayarri, and English translation by Iain Halliday.

About the Author

Shintaro Kago is a Japanese manga artist associated with ero-guro and formal experimentation. His work often treats the page as a structure to be tested: bodies become mechanisms, narrative becomes a loop, and the panel grid is used as both container and weapon. In Parasitic City #1 (English Edition), these methods are extended into serialized world-building, where control systems, belief systems, and desire are drawn with the same clinical attention.

Heavier or collectible editions receive an extra layer of protection. Any defects are documented on the product page—packing doesn’t hide condition, it reduces transit risk.

Tracking is included for all services and is provided once the parcel is handed over to the carrier. During peak periods, transit times may extend. See the Shipping Policy.
