Terrotic: Love and Terror in Postapoland
Terrotic: Love and Terror in Postapoland is a comic by Bartosz Zaskórski, published by Hollow Press. It is set inside the hostile mythology of Postapoland — Zaskórski's recurring post-apocalyptic world — and stages love and terror as two forces that share the same climate, without offering moral resolution.
The format is deliberate. A4, stapled, 48 pages, printed black-and-white offset on Arena Ivory Smooth — it reads less like a conventional graphic novel and more like a pamphlet or broadsheet folded into a book. The construction is direct and physical, closer in register to a zine than a bound volume. The poster-like scale of the pages gives the drawings room to operate at full weight.
Zaskórski's visual language throughout is grotesque and absurdist, drawing on Eastern European sensibility: decay rendered with dry precision, tenderness arriving without warning, figures caught between the comic and the horrific. The Postapoland universe — also explored in Bubzium — remains unstable and occasionally tender here. Tempo and pauses are left to the reader.
This is the first printing, dated October 2023, limited to 1,500 copies. Edited by Michele Nitri, with design by Christian Dolz Bayarri.

About Bartosz Zaskórski
Bartosz Zaskórski is a Polish artist, illustrator, and musician. His drawings are rooted in grotesque and absurdist storytelling, combining post-apocalyptic decay with dark humour and anthropomorphic horror. Eastern European melancholy runs through much of his visual work, surfacing in the recurring mythology of Postapoland — a world he has developed across several publications.
In addition to his visual practice, Zaskórski performs as Mchy i Porosty, producing lo-fi electronic soundscapes. His publications are available through Bartosz Zaskórski at Lokator100.
